Changes….

I love making announcements and sharing new developments with my readers.  When I began this blogging journey a couple of years ago I had no idea where it would all lead.  I didn’t realize writing the blog would enhance my on-line presence as an author, thus helping get my books published and out there.  I never saw myself doing a radio talk show, which has taken off in a big way.  I had no idea I would meet the wonderful people I’ve met and become so involved in the going’s on of the area.  Writing The Permanent Tourist has enriched my life in so many ways.  And today…….I’m sharing what seems to be the next natural step for The Permanent Tourist.  The doors are opening and I’m taking that step through to see where it all will lead!

Not long ago I began to be approached by readers from out of the area who were wondering where to stay while on St. Simons Island and what to do during a stay.  A couple of readers went so far as to ask if I would prepare an itinerary for their trip, to which I said YES!  What fun to put fantasy trips together that engage a couple, or family or corporation….anyone visiting Coastal Georgia for a week or two. in amazing adventures and experiences.  And so it is!  The Permanent Tourist is now offering a full itinerary service for people who are planning to visit our wonderful area!

I’d love to know your thoughts about this latest adventure The Permanent Tourist is now embarking on!  I’ll be happy to share the reasonable rate sheet I’ve created to get all of this going!  You’ll have a trip prepared for you that you’ll never forget….ever!  Making dreams come true and fulfilling even the wildest notions, safely of course, is going to be great fun!  Join me on this new path of my journey.  If you’re a local business or professional who has a service, lodging, adventure or other item that would fit into the book I’m putting together, message me!  You don’t want to miss being a part of this!

Oh the places you’ll go and the fun you will have!  Endless possibilities!

Congratulations!! How wonderful for you. I thought getting older was going to mean slowing down, settling in… HA!! I’m having such a wonderful time and it sounds like you are too! Life is so full of wonder I can’t imagine slowing down and settling in. Learning and growing is what keeps up young. This time next week we’ll be in SSI 🙂

Oh Melissa this is so exciting! But I think you are going to have to add staff and move into a bigger house – or take an office? Or maybe you have done that already?

Thanks so much for mentioning me on Facebook. You can’t imagine how I would have loved to have been together with you, your Mother and Rose! One of these days . . . .

melissa, you are the PERFECT person to help people find the little gems of the Golden Isles! I’ve got a number of folks coming from out of town to my next Salon at Glynn Visual Arts (formerly Glynn Arts) on St. Simons … I’ll check in w/you to help them plan their two-day stay! (Of course they will be designing seaglass jewelry as a main part of their exciting time here!)

Judith, designing sea glass jewelry with you is definitely one of the choices on my list of fabulous things to do while in Coastal Georgia! Let’s have fun!

Hi Melissa- I think planning itineraries is a great idea! We stumbled upon St.Simon’s 6 yrs. ago through the internet and have visited every year since (we lived in NY). We would rent various houses through Hodnett Cooper or vrbo.com. We love St.Simon’s. Well,4 wks.ago,we moved to Florida(a big move for us),and we still plan to visit St.Simon’s,but for shorter visits. I sure could have used your services 6 yrs.ago and would like to see your list,if possible. Thanks- Sue PS- Hope your knee is healing nicely.

Thanks Susan! As soon as my lists are complete I’ll certainly share them with you! I’d love to meet you when you’re in the area!
